Raises nearly $1.4 million in first three months of 2014

Janesville, WI — Earlier today, First District Congressman Paul Ryan announced his campaign raised $1,396,792 during the most recent fundraising period. It is the largest quarter fundraising total for Ryan since being elected to Congress and it is more than double what Ryan raised during the same period in 2013.

“The people in southern Wisconsin are looking for leaders who can get our economy back on track, advance responsible solutions to pay down our debt, and deliver patient-centered reforms to fix what’s broken in our health care system. And that’s what I’ve been focused on,” said Ryan. By spending beyond our means today, we will guarantee that future generations live below their means tomorrow – and that’s simply unacceptable. We have to do better, and I’m encouraged so many feel the same.”

The cash on hand for Ryan’s re-election campaign now exceeds $4 million.  Almost 80 percent of the donations in this reporting period came from individuals, and Ryan’s campaign averaged over 45 new contributors each day of 2014.

In keeping with his promise to fully disclose all campaign contributions, a link to Ryan’s Federal Elections Campaign report is available on his campaign website at:
